Development Company "UX audit"

A Development Company requested a UX audit from us to finalize all the UX issues in their journeys and provide recommendations.

Challenges:

  • Determine the objectives and strategy to help support the purpose of the review from the stakeholders' perspective.

  • Identifying the task/journey that is to be performed in order to review the dashboard.

  • The ability to access and continue the tasks/journeys.

  • Ensures that the audit meets the expectations of the stakeholders.

Process:

  • In order to ensure that the site follows the heuristics and best practices, we will audit the platform covering the main pages to identify key issues and improve the digital interface.

  • Focusing on standard heuristics across the journeys and UI design.

  • During the audit, issues were identified and highlighted based on heuristics and QUICK-FIX to resolve issues that did not require a more detailed fix.

  • Beyond Heuristics - In addition, we identified if there were any benchmarks or patterns seen in the industry that could be easily implemented, such as iconography, information, visual cues, etc.

  • In order to remove any bias, we had three Certified Usability Analysts review the document independently and their scores and observations were tallied for an average.

Outcome:

A document contains all the issues and observations raised during the experience or on the interface in addition to:

  • Severity Rating Scale, all issues were scored in order to determine their impact.

  • As part of the analysis, findings were tagged according to the scope parameters, in order to gain a greater understanding of the various issues involved.

  • As a way of understanding the different areas of the issues, each of the UX heuristics belonging to the issue was tagged with the relevant findings.

  • As a result, potential recommendations were provided that would be helpful in resolving the issues.
