Health Care Company "user testing"
Test our own design on professionals (doctors) and general users (normal users who want to benefit from the services provided)
Challenges:
-
Testing our own design.
-
Achieving alignment across the user segments of professionals "doctors" and normal users "patients" and aligning the test time and duration.
-
Determine the most effective tasks for the website to gain insight into its effectiveness.
Objectives:
-
Gain an understanding of users’ expectations and pain points when testing the new website design, as well as their preferences when finding the information they need.
-
Test the efficacy and usability of key journeys on the design.
Process:
Our user research was based on 8 users and potential users that were chosen to cover the array of existing key personas - in considering the right users for the test we screened the potential users in order to eliminate any bias. We tested the staging site in all these sessions.

-
Protocol preparation: The focus of our user testing was on key designs such as the homepage, the menu tab, the services page, and the overall design. In addition, we asked users to rate the website's visual aesthetic, color schemes, and fonts.
-
User recruitment: As part of the client's screening process, the client's team evaluated the users which were a mix of professionals and general users who matched the client's key personas and who were primarily responsible for choosing the services offered by the client.
-
Conducting user tests: A Zoom session was used for user testing, in which users were encouraged to express their opinions freely about their experiences with the new website with regard to its design and rational feedback. The session was recorded with the consent of the users.
-
Research synthesis: During the user testing, critical insights were gained from the users, while they explored the new website. These inputs were documented.
